SYNOPSIS:
Miss Julie is probably one of the most outstanding works of the Swedish playwright Johan August Strindberg written in the late nineteenth century. Miss Julie is a powerful play about love, lust and the class struggle. This drama with tragic overtones presents the story of Miss Julie and John, her servant, who one summer night will have an experience that will change their lives forever.
While John tries to get up from the depths of his servile existence, Miss Julie tries to escape the bonds of upper-class life with no meaning. The way Julie behaves during that encounter makes him open a door that leads him to think that he can change his destiny.
With live music and performed in English and Spanish, Miss Julie brings a clash of cultures that combines high physical demands with exquisite naturalistic text.
