SYNOPSIS:
The Lady from the Sea has all the ingredients for being one of the most important shows that will be presented during the 2014 Iberoamerican Theater Festival. Not only was it written by Henrik Ibsen, one of the most important play writers that influenced the modern theater, but it is also directed by Robert Wilson, the best personality in the theatrical world of the time and has text from Susan Sontag, an icon of northamerican literature from the 20th century. This show was created by Wilson next to local actors from countries such as Korea, Italy and Poland. For this festival, Colombia will have the opportunity to enjoy the show with Brazilian actors.

SYNOPSIS:
Cecilia Gómez represents a new generation of bailaoras of flamenco. Cupaima, homenaje a Chavela Vargas, is the company Ballet Flamenco de Cecilia Gómez´s most recent show. It’s a musical that journeys through 9 different acts that portray life events of Chavela Vargas, a famous Mexican singer. For this play, Cecilia Gómez traveled to Mexico to show Chavela the idea she had for the musical, and she was able to receive an authorization just before the singer passed away.

SYNOPSIS:
The proposed “Voice” universe is inhabited by eight contradictory, funny, with uncontrollable desires and strange faults characters that represent a metaphor of the accelerating pace of the cities in the XXI century. This characters ironically present their conflicts through funny situations that invoke thorny issues such as suicide and euthanasia.
The work of assumptions and fundamental questions about life, death and human existence through irony, drama and comedy. This co-production of the Iberoamerican meets four generations of Colombian actors led by the young director and playwright Victor Quesada, who scored the stimulus given by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia through the International Internship in 2012 , which allowed him to travel to Rio de Janeiro and write the work under the guidance of successful and renowned Brazilian Jô Bilac.

SYNOPSIS:
Ziya Azazi is a dancer and choreographer of Turkish-Syrian origin based in Viena (Austria) since 1994. His work, based on an emotional and bodily analysis of the Sufí dance, is recognized internationally. His company has been presented in carnivals such as Dias de Danza (Barcelona), Sziget Festival (Budapest), Châlon dans la Rue (Chalon), Theater op de Markt (Hasselt), X-trax (Manchester), TAC (Valladolid) and the International Festival of Theater (Manizales).
Dervish in Progress, which has been presented over 200 times, is a show full of joy: the search of ecstasy through the repetition of quick turns. In this play, the author establishes a narrative parallel with the philosophical principals of the Sufí dance. Dervish in Progress is the only show from Turkey that will presented in this edition of the festival.

China Children’s Art Theater was founded in 1995 and has since brought many successes and recognition not only from China but also other countries around the world. This company goes from the modern to the classic to create shows appropriate for all ages. The Dragon Child mixes the best of the Chinese art, music and culture with contemporary puppets, theater and animation. This play shows how the dragon child lives a peacefull existence until contamination and the depletion of natural resources disrupt his calm life. It make us think about how it impacts our hope for the future of our world.
